Mario Nájera

Recently graduated from Universidad Francisco Marroquín Medical School, Mario is part of the Climate Psychiatry Alliance Early Career Network, where he serves as Junior Co-Chair. He has a great passion for the interaction between climate change and mental health and advocates for equity, particularly among at-risk populations. Mario is dedicated to raising awareness of how environmental crises impact mental well-being and to driving solutions that promote mental health equity on a global scale.

Dr. Joshua Wortzel

Dr. Joshua Wortzel is a child and adolescent psychiatrist at the Institute of Living and Yale University, a member of the Climate Psychiatry Alliance steering committee, and chair of the American Psychiatric Association’s Committee on Climate Change and Mental Health. He also serves as the Climate and Health Scholar for the National Institute of Mental Health, where he advocates for the mental health impacts of climate change.

Dr. Robin Cooper

Dr. Robin Cooper is a psychiatrist based in San Francisco and a co-founder of the Climate Psychiatry Alliance, where she currently serves as President. She is an Associate Clinical Professor at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences. Dr. Cooper has long been involved in advocacy, focusing on the intersection of climate change and mental health. Her work particularly addresses the disproportionate impacts of climate crises on vulnerable populations, and she has developed expertise in understanding the mental health effects of extreme heat and other climate-related phenomena. Dr. Cooper is deeply committed to raising awareness and driving solutions for the mental health challenges posed by environmental change​.
